Nonprofits Assistance Fund is a nonprofit community development organization that fosters community development and vitality by building financially healthy nonprofits. Nonprofits Assistance Fund provides financing for working capital, cash flow, equipment and facilities projects with a focus on strengthening the operation and mission of nonprofits. We also offer financial management workshops and advice that improve nonprofits' capacity to carry out their mission.

Charter School Breakfast Forum
Charter schools can be excellent bank customers with reliable cash receipts from the state, facility financing needs, and good community reputations. Unfortunately, charter schools have mixed reputations in the public eye and some bankers are understandably wary. We would like to assist you in learning more about how charter schools work, how they receive their funding, and how you can assess school management.

Nonprofits Assistance Fund and the MN Association of Charter Schools will be hosting a breakfast forum to help answer some of your questions. A panel of bankers and school leaders will discuss their experiences, both good and bad. We are also happy to share our own experiences with the more than 20 charter schools Nonprofits Assistance Fund has worked with.

Profile of Success - EMMA
When Joe Sullivan approached his banker to finance an expansion to East Metro Music Academy, his banker knew that EMMA faced unique challenges as a nonprofit. To ensure that EMMA would be able to continue to provide a high quality music experience to children at an affordable rate, he directed Sullivan to Nonprofits Assistance Fund.
